Vatsalya Yojna: 2829 children of Uttarakhand were orphaned during the Corona period, have a look at the figures:

Since last year’s Corona period, 2829 children of the state have lost their parents. This has come to the fore in the data available with the Directorate of Women Welfare under Mukhyamantri Vatsalya Yojana. Till now this assistance of Mukhyamantri Vatsalya Yojana has started getting in 1706 of the state. 1061 children were involved in the first phase, 356 in the second, 149 in the third phase and 140 in the fourth phase. Of these, Dehradun district has maximum 309 children and Chamoli has the least 28 children.
Under the Mukhyamantri Vatsalya Yojana, a provision has been made to provide 12th education free of cost to the children up to the age of 21 who lost their parents during the Corona period and to give an amount of three thousand rupees per month to their account. Under the Directorate of Women Welfare, this scheme was started by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in August last. So far in four phases, children have been verified and assisted. So far, children are being selected after verification by the district administration on the basis of applications from across the district.
2610 children under the age of 18
As per the data available with the Directorate of Women Welfare, there are 2610 orphan children below the age of 18 while there are 219 orphan children in the age group of 18 to 21.

Anganwadi workers are also helping
