Three students, who had gone to Guchupani to complete a college project in Dehradun on Wednesday, got stuck in the Tons river. When SDRF got this information, the team immediately reached the spot. During this, the team rescued the three youths in the midst of darkness and took them out safely.
Cantt Inspector Aishwarya Pal told that Ayush Pandey age 19 years son Pramod Pandey resident of Bengali Kothi, THDC Colony, Harshit Sharma age 19 years son Sanjeev Sharma resident Mohini Road, Dalanwala and Parv Gupta age 21 years son Anoop Gupta resident of Canal Road Jakhan in the day Went to Guchupani. During this he went swimming to the other end of the river. Due to the sudden rise in the water level of the river, they were unable to swim back.
Somebody informed the police about it. Initially, the police tried to rescue them, but due to the strong current, they did not succeed. After this the police called SDRF to the spot.
