Shiv Sena mouthpiece commented on Owasi’s acceptance

An editorial in Saamana, the Shiv Sena’s mouthpiece lately stated that Indian Muslims are not ready to accept “people like” AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi as their leader. Sena a part of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra, with party chief Uddhav Thackeray as chief minister was a former ally of BJP.

The editorial in Saamana claimed that Owaisi will “become a national leader” on the day that he “gathers the courage” to say that Muslims are Indian citizens and should find a path by the Constitution of India.
Otherwise, he will be looked upon as an Antara vastra for the BJP, Referring to the Lok Sabha MP from Hyderabad.

Saamna further said that, “Opposing everything from Ram Mandir to Vande Mataram cannot be the policy that gives direction to the Indian Muslim community.”
