Registrar to investigate the scam in Dehradun Co-operative Bank in two months and take action: High Court

The High Court has ordered an inquiry into the corruption cases in the Dehradun Cooperative Bank. A single bench of Justice Sharad Kumar Sharma has asked the Registrar Cooperative to investigate and take action in two months.

Shiv Singh Kapurwan has filed a petition saying that the chairman and secretary in Dehradun Co-operative Bank has been doing a lot of fraud in the recruitment, loan distribution, promotion of personnel in the bank. According to the petitioner, the complaint was made from the registrar to the departmental minister and the government, but no action has been taken against anyone. While the government had given instructions for investigation on June 8, 2021, but till now the investigation has not been done. In the petition, there was a demand for investigation of the entire matter and action against the culprits.
Nainital: The High Court has reserved the verdict on the petition to postpone the elections of cooperative societies of Ramnagar and Kotabagh. The election process of cooperative societies has started in Nainital district. Elections to committees are to be held on September 13 and delegates with Chairman-Deputy Chairman on September 14, but the election committees of Ramnagar and Kotabagh postponed it on the ground that polling officials were under suspicion. The order regarding which was issued on 31st August. This order was challenged by a petition filed by Virendra Singh of Milk Cooperative Society Madaiya and Shekhar Chandra of Kotabagh Mayapur.
He said that there is no such ground under the Cooperative Election Election Rules 2018, under which the election can be postponed, the petition has sought to hold elections in Ramnagar and Kotabagh along with other committees. On Friday, DM Dhiraj Gabrial appeared before the single bench of Justice Sharad Kumar Sharma and gave an affidavit saying that he is ready to hold elections. The single bench has reserved the verdict in the matter.
