Mussoorie: Tourist of Bulandshahr drowned while taking bath in the lake of Kampti Falls, dead body found among stones:


A tourist died after drowning in the lake while taking a bath in Mussoorie’s Kampti Falls. On information, the police reached the spot and somehow pulled out the deceased from the lake. The body has been sent for post-mortem after filling the Panchnama. Along with this, the family members have also been informed.

SHO Kampti Naveen Jural told that a tourist drowned while taking a bath near another big lake below the main lake. The local people informed the police about it. Police personnel with the help of local youth pulled out the body of the tourist trapped between the stones inside the lake.

Told that the deceased has been identified as Arvind (35) resident of Hirapur district, Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. He had come to visit Kampti with his six friends Neeraj Kumar, Kalyan Singh, Ajay Kumar, Mahesh Chand, Jitendra Singh, Sonu. He said the police were probing various aspects of the incident. The accomplices of the deceased are also being interrogated.
Tourist car fell on the link road
A car fell on the Linga Marg near Thapar Mode on the Mussoorie-Dehradun road. Three tourists aboard suffered minor injuries. On information, the police reached the spot and rescued the three tourists trapped in the vehicle.

Kotwal Rajiv Rauthan said that the car fell out of the road on the second link road, about 20 feet below. Told that Sachin, Gaurav Sharma and Shiva resident of Nawada Baghpat Uttar Pradesh suffered minor injuries in the accident.
