If you do online transactions, then you need to be very careful. In the last few months, many cases of e-KYC scams and related frauds have come to the fore. In this, cybercriminals steal the money deposited in the user’s account through UPI. To deal with such cases, the Cybercrime Division of Delhi Police has advised users to register complaints by calling 155260.
Money can be returned after giving immediate information
Delhi Police has assured that immediate help will be given to the victim who has filed a complaint on this number. However, the Delhi Police did not specify in details how it would help the victim. Delhi Police has claimed that in case of online financial fraud, a quick call to this number can get the money back.
Big banks and wallets connected to the helpline
According to a statement by the Ministry of Home Affairs, almost all the public and private sector banks are connected to this helpline. These include SBI, Punjab National Bank, Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Union Bank, IndusInd Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Yes and Kotak Mahindra Bank. Not only this, major wallets and merchants like Paytm, PhonePe, MobiKwik, Flipkart and Amazon have also been connected to this helpline.
