Lucknow Half Marathon: Velu P, Prem lata clinch top honours
Lucknow: Velu P clocked 01:13:56s to clinch the top position in the men’s open category of the Lucknow Half Marathon (2nd Edition) on Sunday.
The run was supported by
Kotak Mahindra Bank.
The run was started from Janeshwar Mishra Park and over 1000 runners participated in the event.
Manohar Nishad with a timing of 01:17:46s finished second in the men’s open section of half marathon, while Kushagra Tripathi (01:26:58s) finished third.
Prem lata Gupta (01:56:08s) won the top honours in the women’s open category of the half marathon. Harshita Shahi with a timing of 02:01:15s finished second, while Parul Verma (02:07:45s) finished third.
In the men’s 10km open category, Saiyuv Khan (00:34:59s) won the first position, while Rajneesh Kumar (00:36:50s) and Mrityunjay verma (00:37:15s) finished second and third, respectively.
In the women’s 10km open category, Deepali Gupta (00:46:50s) won the first position, while Isha (00:46:51s) and Pooja Nishad (00:46:56s) finished second and third, respectively.
The flag off was done by Vishal Kumar (Regional Business Head-UPROE Kotak Mahindra Bank) and the prize distribution by Dr Arjumand Zaidi (President-Youth for human rights, India).
Kotak Mahindra Bank was the main sponsor, while the event was organized by Thrill Zone, a sports endurance company.
