Legal action against 10475 persons, 1870 persons were arrested, more than 19 lakh rupees fine has been recovered by Uttrakhand police during ‘Mission Maryada’ campaign.

Few days back an unique initiative called “Mission Maryada” was taken by The director general of Police Sh.Ashok Kumar, IPS in Uttarakhand to maintain the dignity of pilgrimage places and cleanliness at tourist places. Under this special campaign, action is being taken to immediately arrest those who indulge in riots and drug addicts at pilgrimage places and banks of Ganga and fine against those who litter the tourist places.
From 15th July, 2021 till now, under “Mission Maryada”, 1870 persons were arrested while taking action against a total of 10475 persons in the entire state and a total fine of 19 lakh 50 thousand 480 rupees (19,50,480) has been recovered.
