Weather Alert: Uttarakhand will rain heavily for 26 to two days, heavy rain warning for six districts including Dehradun:

In Uttarakhand, the Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain today and tomorrow in eight districts including Dehradun, Nainital.  In view of the weather forecast, while issuing an orange alert, it has been advised to travel carefully in the mountainous routes.  Director of Meteorological Center Bikram Singh said that even after Friday, the period of rain will continue.

Especially in Dehradun, Nainital, Pauri, Champawat, Pithoragarh, Udham Singh Nagar, Bageshwar, there is a need to be vigilant for the next two days.  There is a possibility of heavy rain at some places in Nainital, Champawat, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh districts on 28 and 29.  In the wake of heavy rains, landslides, rock sliding, road blockage in hilly areas, overflow in rivers and streams, water logging in low-lying areas can create problems in vulnerable areas.

Heavy rain in many parts of the state
Heavy rain lashed many parts of the state in the last 24 hours on Wednesday.  In this, maximum 254 mm in Sahastradhara of Dehradun, 207 in Rishikesh, 97.5 in Pithoragarh’s Didihat, Thal 63.5, Jauljib 52, Dharchula 33.8, Munsiyari 29, Bageshwar’s Sama 151, Loharkhet 50, Song 29.5, Champawat’s Bastia 73, Pauri’s  Neelkanth 97.5, Kotdwar 60, Yamkeshwar 46.5, Kaulagarh 40, Narendranagar of Tehri 149, Devprayag 58, Sultanpur Pati 47 of Udhamsinghnagar, Ramnagar-38.5 of Nainital, 38 in Chamoli’s Gairsain, Joshimath received 34.6 mm of rain.
