Government will give mobile tablets to one lakh students of Uttarakhand, CM Dhami announced:

Before the 2022 assembly elections, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand made many announcements for the people of the state.  On Friday, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami announced to give tablets to the students of government degree colleges, to give Covid incentive money to the employees of police and revenue department and one year relaxation in the upper age limit to the candidates in Group ‘B’ posts.  In the monsoon session of the Vidhan Sabha, Dhami said that all one lakh students studying in government degree colleges of the state would also be given mobile tablets and an expenditure of Rs 100 crore would be incurred on this.  In this regard, he said that the government has already announced to give such tablets to the students of class 10th and 12th in which their entire syllabus will also be loaded.

The Chief Minister also announced the release of Rs one crore reduction in the MLA fund during 2020-21 in the House in view of Covid-19 this year. Dhami said that appropriate action would be taken to waive the building tax for the ex-servicemen residing in the Cantonment Boards. Referring to the concern being expressed by the people regarding land use in the state through social media, correspondence and various mediums, he said that for this a committee would be formed under the chairmanship of former chief secretary Subhash Kumar to make a law in the interest of the state.  He said that this committee would prepare such a report after listening to all the parties, which would not only affect the industrial development but also stop the migration.

Appreciating the contribution of Police, Revenue and Rural Development Officers during Covid-19, Dhami has appointed Constable, Head Constable, Sub-Inspector, Inspector, Patwari in Revenue Department, Lekhpal, Revenue Inspector and Naib Tehsildar, Village Development Officer, Gram Panchayat Development Officer.  And also announced a one-time incentive of ten thousand rupees to the Assistant Development Officer.  The Chief Minister said that the State Government had given relaxation of one year in the upper age limit for recruitment to Group ‘C’ posts, which has now been implemented for Group ‘B’ posts also.  He said that the mandate for this has also been issued on Friday.  He also announced to celebrate admission fortnight in all government schools including Atal Utkarsh Vidyalayas from 1st to 14th September and welcome celebrations for newly admitted children on 15th September.

Dhami announced to construct separate toilets for girl students in all the schools of the state.  He announced to increase the amount of Shivanand Nautiyal Scholarship for meritorious children from Rs 250 per month to 1500 per month and increase the number of its beneficiaries from 11 to 100.  He said that the Shridev Suman Rajya Meritorious Scholarship would also be increased from Rs.150 per month to Rs.1000.  Apart from this, he also announced to start virtual classes in 600 additional schools.
