Ex-servicemen of 18 Jammu and Kashmir Rifles celebrated with great pomp:

The ex-servicemen and officers of the Dehradun-based pensioners group of 18-Jammu and Kashmir Rifles ‘Agrim Atharah’ celebrated the meeting with pomp. During this ex-servicemen shared their experiences. Along with this, it was also decided to celebrate the battalion’s raising day on 20 September every year.
During the meeting organized at Multipurpose Home Vijaypur Hathibarkala, the founder of the organization and program operator Nayak Devendra Lama told that 18 Jammu and Kashmir Rifles ‘Agrim Atharah’ was established on 20 July 1982. Therefore, with a vote of all the office bearers and members, it has been decided to celebrate ‘Raging Day’ by the organization on 20th July every year. He said that the organization is mainly planning to run education, vocational training programs for the children of the economically weaker families of the society and free training programs for recruitment in the army. Various cultural programs were also organized during this period. Subedar KB Thapa, Subedar Ashok Pradhan, Subedar Sudhir Pun, Subedar Mahesh Bahadur, Subedar Dinesh Kumar, Captain Vijender Thapa, Captain Dhan Bahadur, Captain Ravindra Singh, Sanjay Thapa, Jitendra Thapa, Rajendra Thapa, Umesh, Gurjit Singh, Anil, Jagannath, Chandrashekhar, Shailesh, Ashok, Kishore, Rajkumar, Naveen, Vikas etc. were present.
