Dehradun: 10 years rigorous imprisonment for raping woman and threatening to kill her:


Government advocate Kishore Kumar said that the case was registered at Rajpur police station. A woman had complained to the police against Canal Road resident of Dharampal. According to the woman, she used to work at Dharampal’s house. One day Dharampal molested her and she left the job.
The court convicted the accused of raping and threatening to kill the woman and sentenced him to death. The court of Special Fast Track Judge Ashwani Gaur has also imposed rigorous imprisonment of 10 years and a total fine of Rs 40,000. The convict was taken into custody from the court premises and sent to jail.

After this, on 21 November 2018, she was going for some work on Canal Road. During this Dharampal came there and took him to the bushes. Here he raped the woman. It is alleged that he also threatened to kill her. He also threatened to kill the children.
Advocate Kishore Kumar said that a total of seven witnesses were presented by the prosecution in this case. The court, after perusing all the witnesses and evidence, gave its verdict in the trial on Saturday.

Dharampal was sentenced to imprisonment for one year and a fine of Rs 10,000 for IPC 376 i.e. 10 years rigorous imprisonment for rape and 30 thousand rupees fine and IPC 506 i.e. for threatening to kill. Both the sentences will run concurrently.
