Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday flagged off five financial literacy vehicles with ATMs of NABARD financed Uttarakhand Gramin Bank at the Chief Minister’s residence. During this, he also released the ninth annual report of Uttarakhand Gramin Bank.

The Chief Minister said that this is a commendable effort in the direction of making Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s financial inclusion and Digital India mission more robust. These vehicles will be used to make the general public of the state financially literate and to promote digitization by transacting through ATMs. Rural Bank’s mobile ATM vans will provide awareness for financial literacy along with transactions through ATMs to the residents of remote areas of the state. The Chief Minister said that camps are being set up in every district to facilitate easy availing of loans to the beneficiaries under various schemes of the government. He directed the officials of Uttarakhand Gramin Bank to distribute loans to maximum number of people in these camps.
