Char Dham Yatra : Why are some devotees being returned? Is there any fraud attempt going on?
Dehradun. The Char Dham Yatra has started in the state and till Tuesday about 5 and a half thousand devotees visited the Char Dhams. According to the statistics, the maximum number of travelers have reached Badrinath Dham. On the other hand, there are many such devotees in the Char Dham Yatra, whom the Uttarakhand Police is returning back without darshan. In fact, the Uttarakhand government has deployed heavy police force for the Char Dham Yatra to go on smoothly and according to the rules. The situation of the chalked system is that only at Kedarnath Dham, along with the sector officers, the police department has deployed 450 employees at the travel stops.
Why are devotees being returned?
The big reason is that some devotees coming to the Char Dham are registering themselves on the Smart City Portal, while it is mandatory for the devotees reaching all the Char Dhams to register themselves on the portal of Devasthanam Board. The police and administration team is returning the passengers who have not registered properly. At the same time, some devotees were also found to have fake registration. According to a news, 18 people were caught with fake registration passes at a checkpost in Sonprayag, 24 km from Kedarnath and they were not given entry to the Dham.
