Anger among farmers due to non-revision of circle rate in Delhi-Dehradun highway:
The Delhi Dehradun Highway Kisan Sangharsh Samiti has expressed anger over the non-resolving of the ongoing problems regarding compensation in the Panchayat held in Tapri, Saharanpur. The farmers gave an ultimatum that if the problem is not resolved by September 10, then the agitation would be started in the Saharanpur commissionerate from September 13.
On Sunday, a panchayat was held in village Tapri of Saharanpur district under the aegis of Delhi Dehradun Highway Kisan Sangharsh Samiti. Farmers from all four districts of Baghpat, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli and Saharanpur participated in this. Discussions were held on all the issues in the Panchayat. Along with the memorandum to the administration and the meeting held on August 16 with the commissioner, anger was expressed for not being resolved. The farmers said that assurance was given in the meeting, but till now no concrete assurance has been received in the implementation and revising the circle rate. In the upcoming strategy, the ultimatum till September 10 will be given to the commissioner Saharanpur through a memorandum. It was decided that if the solution is not resolved by September 10, then the indefinite dharna will be started at Commissionerate Saharanpur from September 13. Jointly meeting of all the districts was presided over by Vinod Chairman Kheda Mastan and conducted by Ashish Pundir Saharanpur. The chief guests of the panchayat were Krishnapal Chairman, Thakur Veer Singh, Videsh Malik, Gauravmalik, Rajiv Tomar, Neeraj etc. RLD workers left to meet the injured farmers.
