22 lakh rupees were grabbed by the deal of mortgage land in the bank, had already been sold to many more
Dehradun Crime News Three persons, including the couple, duped a merchant navy employee of Rs 22 lakh by making a deal of mortgage land in the bank. In this case, on the orders of the court, a case of cheating has been registered against the three accused in Cantt Kotwali.
According to the police, the complainant, Sandeep, a resident of Krishnanagar, has been working in the merchant navy for many years. Sandeep told that in the year 2019 he needed a plot in Dehradun. Through an acquaintance he met Rajiv Srivastava and his brother Ashu. Both showed Sandeep a plot on Kaulagarh road and declared themselves the owner of the plot. Rajiv’s wife Neetu Srivastava was said to be the co-owner of the plot.
The deal for the plot was settled between the two parties for one crore five lakh rupees. After this, Sandeep gave Rs 22 lakh to the accused between 19 and 26 December 2019. It was agreed to give the remaining amount on 31 August 2020. Meanwhile, on April 3, 2020, Sandeep’s wife came to know that Indian Bank in a newspaper has taken out information about auctioning the said plot due to non-payment of loan.
When Sandeep investigated and came to know that the plot is mortgaged with the bank. The bank has a liability of Rs 1 crore on the accused. Apart from this, he has already sold the plot to many persons. After this Sandeep complained to the police against the accused, but the police neither registered a case nor took any action against the accused.
So he took refuge in the court. While hearing the matter, the court had ordered the police to investigate after registering a case against the accused. Inspector Cantt Kotwali Aishwarya Pal said that a case was registered against Rajiv, Ashu and Neetu on Monday.
